About
Hey, I’m Mitch — a UK-based landscape photographer capturing the stillness and beauty of nature. I’m often out exploring with my wife Becky — my partner in crime, behind-the-scenes wizard, and usually the one keeping everything on track (and filming me while I’m lost in the view). Together, we slow down, disconnect from the noise, and share the mindful magic of the outdoors through photography.

More About Me
Hey, I’m Mitch — a landscape photographer from the UK, drawn to the quiet moments nature offers us. For me, photography is a form of escape — a way to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with the world outside the noise.I’m lucky enough to share these moments with my wife Becky — my partner in crime, trusted adviser, and usually the brains behind the operation. While I’m behind the lens, she’s often the one behind the scenes: camera woman, sounding board, navigator, and the one who makes sure I’ve remembered my batteries (and lunch).Together, we explore wild places with a sense of curiosity and calm — from misty hills to rugged coastlines. My work is shaped by those quiet spaces, and inspired by minimalism, mindfulness, and the gentle reminder that nature doesn’t rush, yet everything gets done.Through prints, cinematic videos, and creative projects, we aim to share that feeling — that pause — that only nature can give. Whether you're here for inspiration, calm, or connection, I’m glad you’ve found us.

Fjord Reflections & the Power of Perspective
We didn’t climb Pulpit Rock, but we saw it — distant, steady, and humbling. Sometimes you don’t need to stand on the edge to feel the scale of something.

Clear Skies & Snow at the Summit
We rose from spring into winter on the Loen Skylift. At the top: snow underfoot, sun above, and silence wrapped around the peaks like a blanket.

Mist, Still Water & The Quiet Town
The fjord was calm, the town hushed. Sometimes the most beautiful places don’t announce themselves — they wait for you to notice.

Fjord Reflections & the Power of Perspective

The trip began with water. Not just water — fjords so still they seemed to hold time. We sailed through Stavanger's vast fingers of rock and sea, where the cliffs leaned over us like old giants, watching in silence.
The air had a weight to it. A quiet that wasn’t empty — it was full. Ancient. Knowing.
I didn’t climb Pulpit Rock today. But I saw it — a distant ledge, standing firm above the fjord like a thought waiting to be heard. Even from afar, it had presence. It reminded me that sometimes we don’t need to stand on the edge to feel the scale of something.
Perspective doesn't always come from being at the top.Sometimes it comes from looking towards it.

Clear Skies & Snow at the Summit

We docked at Olden early. The fjord was calm, edged with rising green hills and still water reflecting a sky that meant business — clear, blue, sharp.
After a short coach ride from the cruise ship, we reached the base of the Loen Skylift. I looked up. Cables stretching into the clouds. Snow-tipped peaks just visible. It felt like we were about to be lifted straight into a painting.
The ride itself was quiet. Not many words — just wide eyes and slow breaths as the world dropped away beneath us. The higher we climbed, the more the landscape changed. Green gave way to white. At the summit, we stepped out into another season.
Snow crunched underfoot. Mountains rolled endlessly in every direction — all calm, all still. It was bright, wide-open silence. I stood and took it in. Cold air, clear mind.
Sometimes a scene doesn’t ask to be captured. It asks to be respected.

Mist, Still Water & The Quiet Town

The day unfolded like fog — slow and soft.We left the ship and boarded a smaller vessel to cruise through Nordfjord. The water barely moved. It mirrored the grey sky so perfectly, it was hard to tell where one ended and the other began.
Mist clung to the mountains. They appeared and disappeared like passing thoughts — half-formed, poetic, quiet. I didn’t take many photos. Some moments are better remembered by how they felt, not how they looked.
Ålesund welcomed us with calm streets and the sound of gulls. I wandered with no plan. Past painted houses, quiet harbours, and puddles that reflected the sky. There was no ‘main attraction.’ Just stillness. A town breathing at its own pace.
